How does the Smart Home Sounds 6-Year Sonos Warranty work?

When you buy Sonos from Smart Home Sounds, you’re automatically covered by our exclusive 6-year warranty — giving you extra peace of mind well beyond the standard Sonos manufacturer warranty.

What’s included

  • 6 years of cover from the date of purchase
  • Protection against manufacturing faults and defects
  • Repair or replacement of your Sonos product if a fault arises under warranty
  • Replacement products may include refurbished items
  • Support from our dedicated team to guide you through troubleshooting and next steps

How the warranty works

Years 1–2: Sonos manufacturer warranty
Sonos provides direct warranty cover for the first 2 years. If a fault develops during this time, you’re welcome to contact either ourselves or Sonos directly.

Years 2–6: Smart Home Sounds extended warranty
From year 2 onwards, your warranty is handled by Smart Home Sounds. If your product develops a fault, contact our team and we’ll manage the repair or replacement in line with our warranty terms.

What to do if your Sonos develops a fault

Please request a return through the Returns Portal before sending your item back to us.

To help us assess the issue as quickly as possible, please include:

  • Details of the fault, including when it started and any troubleshooting you’ve tried
  • Photos or videos where possible to help us assess the issue quickly

Our team will:

1. Provide troubleshooting advice
We’ll first try to resolve the issue remotely where possible.

2. Arrange inspection if needed
If the issue can’t be resolved remotely, we’ll arrange for the item to be returned to us for inspection.

3. Repair or replacement
Once tested, we’ll organise a repair or replacement depending on the outcome of the inspection.

What’s not covered

  • Accidental damage including drops, liquid damage or misuse
  • Cosmetic wear and tear that doesn’t affect performance
  • Issues caused by unauthorised repairs or modifications
  • Battery life during the final 4 years of cover
  • Return postage after 2 years
