I've changed my Wifi and my Sonos speakers aren't connecting

Is your Sonos system no longer working following the change of your WiFi network name, password or a new router? Let’s show you how to get your Sonos back online.

The following steps can only be performed in the Sonos app on iOS and Android devices, but not on the Sonos Desktop Controller.

For Sonos S2 Systems

1

Open the Sonos App on your iOS or Android device

2

If you see the message "Unable to Connect to Sonos", select "Let's fix it" and follow the steps

3

If this message doesn't appear, head to Sonos Settings

4

Either "Update your Network Settings" or "Unable to find your Sonos System" should be visible at the top of the Settings tab, select this and follow on-screen instructions.

For Sonos S1 Systems

For systems with multiple Sonos products, the following steps will need you to connect at least one Sonos device to the router with an Ethernet cable.

1

Open Sonos S1 App on your iOS or Android device - the process cannot be performed on PC or Mac desktop devices. The app will now attempt to find your Sonos system.

2

With no system found, press “Learn More” when the message “Unable to connect to Sonos” appears.

3

Now press “Changed Router or WiFi settings?”

4

Follow the on-screen steps in the Sonos S1 app to connect your Sonos system to your updated WiFi network or new router.

For wired Sonos systems, connect your Sonos product to your new router with an Ethernet cable for a connection to be established.

Any missing products can then be rebooted for them to restart and seek information from the new router or network.
