Dual Mono Mode on Sonos Amp & Sonos Port
What is Dual Mono Mode on Sonos?
Although you won’t enjoy the stereo separation found in a pair of speakers, Dual Mono Mode ensures that your music remains complete by feeding all of the information from both stereo channels into the same mono speaker.
The Sonos Port also supports Dual Mono Mode too, making it an ideal option if you’re using it with a third-party amplifier which is also wired to a single mono speaker.
When is Dual Mono Mode Useful?
Here’s some ideas when Dual Mono Mode comes in handy:
- Smaller rooms where only 1x ceiling speaker fits*
- Spaces where ceiling speakers are too far apart for accurate stereo playback.
- Venues like cafés and bars where patrons won’t benefit from a stereo pair.
- When a mono speaker has been installed in place of a single-stereo unit*
🔊 *If you're looking to gain true stereo separation from 1x speaker enclosure, a single-stereo ceiling speaker may be of interest instead. What is a Single-Stereo Ceiling Speaker?>>
