Sonos App Tour

The Sonos app is a crucial part of your Sonos experience. Here, you can stream music from your favourite music streaming services, save favourites, group or ungroup rooms, search for new content and customise your Sonos system.

There are 5 main screens for the Sonos app, comprising of My Sonos, Browse, System, Search and Settings. Let’s cover each one in more detail.

My Sonos:

Think of this page as your Sonos homepage where you can save all of your favourite playlists, radio stations, artists, tracks and more for quick access to the content you love.

Rearrange and re-order the categories to your heart’s content using the Edit button.

The Recently Played section at the top will save all of the content you’ve recently listened to for quick access.

Browse:

Here is where you can access all of your music streaming service accounts and stream from them. The service will be tailored to you and will understand what you like to listen to over time.

Sonos Radio can also be accessed here which is an exclusive and free service to Sonos which includes a variety of collated playlists, exclusive content and more (HD paid version available).

System:

This screen contains all of your Sonos rooms and is where you will go to group or ungroup your rooms. This can be done at any time. Try grouping all of your rooms together using the Everywhere function or set up your own group of rooms e.g. downstairs.

Tip: from this screen, you can also set up an alarm to start music on a room (or group of rooms) at a specified time.

Search: 

Here is where you can search for any content you desire including artists, songs, albums, playlists, stations, genres, podcasts & shows, episodes.

It will search from the music streaming services that you’ve imported into the Sonos app or from the services that come with the Sonos app.

Your most recent searches are listed under the search bar.

Settings:

Here, Sonos will give you setup tips and how to get the most out of your Sonos system in a tile format at the top of the screen.

In this section, you’ll also find your EQ settings where you can adjust bass and treble, add a new voice service, support, customise individual rooms, amongst many other settings you can experiment with.
