Where should I position ceiling speakers?

Ceiling speakers should be positioned based on the most habitable areas of the room. For example, above a kitchen island or either end of the dining table.

We aim to keep the ceiling speakers as central to the room as possible and in large rooms, multiple pairs of speakers are advised in a square configuration around the room to ensure a balanced sound throughout.

If you are installing a stereo pair, they should be no closer than 2 metres apart and no further than 5 metres apart for the best stereo separation.

Please take care to avoid ceiling joists, spotlight fittings, and electrical cabling when cutting the hole. While we can help with general positioning advice, further guidance should be sought from your electrician about the exact positioning.
