Sonos Era 100: Pairing and Managing Bluetooth Connections
Ready to enjoy audio on your Sonos Era 100 through Bluetooth? This guide will show you how to pair, disconnect, and reconnect your devices seamlessly.
Important Note: Before using Bluetooth, your Era 100 must be set up and connected to WiFi through the Sonos app.
Pairing Your Device
- Put Era 100 in Bluetooth Mode: Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the back of your speaker until you hear a chime and the front LED blinks blue.
- Connect from Your Device: Open your device's Bluetooth settings and search for available devices. Select "Sonos Era 100" from the list.
- Confirmation: Once paired, you'll hear another chime and the Era 100's LED will turn solid blue for a few seconds.
Disconnecting Your Device
Two ways to disconnect:
- From Your Device: Go to Bluetooth settings, select "Era 100," and tap "Disconnect."
- From Era 100: While connected, press the Bluetooth button on the back to switch out of Bluetooth mode.
Note: Era 100 has an "Idle Auto-Disconnect" setting that disconnects after 30 minutes of inactivity. You can enable/disable this in the Sonos app: Settings > System > Era 100 > Bluetooth > Idle Auto-Disconnect.
Reconnecting to a Paired Device
Two ways to reconnect:
- From Your Device: Go to Bluetooth settings, select "Era 100" from previous connections, and tap "Connect."
- From Era 100: Press the Bluetooth button to switch to Bluetooth mode. The speaker will search for its most recent connection.
Confirmation: You'll hear a chime and see the LED turn blue when successfully reconnected.
Additional Tips:
- Bluetooth functionality is disabled when Era 100 is used as a surround speaker.
- By default, the status LED is off when using Bluetooth. Enable it in the Sonos app: Settings > System > Era 100 > Hardware > Status Light.
