Add a second Sub to your Sonos Home Cinema system

Craving even more bass from your Sonos home cinema system? If you find one Sonos Sub isn’t enough, here’s how you can add a second one.

Before Starting

Please note that you can add a second Sonos Sub of any generation, provided you have at least 1x Sonos Sub Gen 3 in your system.

The Sub Gen 3 is Sonos S2-compatible only, so the following steps won’t work on Sonos systems running the Sonos S1 app.

How to Add your Second Sonos Sub

1

Open the Sonos S2 app on your iOS or Android device.

2

Head to Settings, press System.

3

Locate the home cinema room where your first Sub is connected.

4

Select the option labelled ‘Connect Second Sub’.

5

Follow the on-screen instructions that appear.

Is Something not Working?

The above steps should get your second Sub up and running in next to no time at all. But if the second Sub can’t be found for any reason, refer to Sonos Product Not Found During Initial Set-up.
